Adelaide
Studying the right trade course in Adelaide can put you a pathway for an in-demand occupation that has strong permanent visa prospects.
Perhaps the most under-rated city in Australia, Adelaide is a medium-size city with a “small town” feel. It’s a great place to begin your life in Australia and to eventually call home. Adelaide was ranked the fourth most desirable Australian study destination in 2017 for International Students.
Adelaide has a metro population of about 1.3 million and like any city, it is much more diverse than the other regions on our list. The foreign-born population is about 30 percent, with various cultures represented, you will feel a sense of connection and community in Adelaide. Adelaide has a major international airport, meaning you can find easy domestic and international flights.
Adelaide is classified as a regional area, which means students can now claim an additional 5 points on the Australian Immigration Points Test for studying in a regional area and may be able to apply for a Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491).
Why study a trade?
Studying the right trade or vocational course can greatly increase your chances of receiving Work Visas to Australia.
But migration can be very difficult to understand. There are so many different types of visas and so much information out there, which can make it super challenging to know what is accurate for your circumstance.
Therefore we’ve created a booklet for you that explains a pathway that has been tried and tested. Pathway to Aus has had many of its students successfully go down this path to achieve Permanent Residency.
This pathway is not for everyone, however it may be for you!
Step 1: Study a course or package of courses
Step 2: Receive the Temporary Graduate Visa
Step 3: Participate in the Job Ready Program
Your employer will not need to sponsor your visa, as you will already be on the graduate visa. This will mean that you have a much higher chance of finding employment as it is very easy for the employer to hire you. You may find this video on the Job Ready Program helpful.
