Electrician
Electricians cover some of the most important aspects of any construction project. Some of the tasks you will be competent in and be able to under take are: solve problems in D.C Circuits, Terminate cables cords and accessories for low voltage circuits, Solve problems in electromagnetic devices and related circuits, Apply environmentally and sustainable procedures in the energy sector.
Graduates will be skilled in many aspects of the Electrical Trade including:
- Plan and organise work
- Develop and connect electrical control circuits
- Develop, enter and verify discrete control programs for programmable controllers
- Document and apply measures to control OHS risks associated with electrotechnology work
- Verify compliance and functionality of low voltage general electrical installations
1. Students need to be at least 18 years old.
2. Academic requirement: Completion of Australian Year 10 OR overseas equivalent.
3. Present English language proficiency evidence

- IELTS, PTE, etc. (IELTS: 6.0 overall – no band less than 5.5; OR equivalent). The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application.
- Some Education Institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test that you can take to meet the English entry requirements.
- Exemptions apply if:
– you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
– you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
– you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
