Event Management

Certificate III in Events (Duration 30-40 weeks)

Get started by developing the administrative and operational skills required to carry out core event-related work activities. Possible assistant positions: Conference assistant, event or exhibition operations assistant, event or exhibition administrative assistant, functions assistant, logistics assistant, meetings assistant, venue assistant, junior event or exhibition coordinator.

Diploma of Event Management (Duration – 1-2 years)

Get the skills you need to work with clients and lead teams to build successful events. Learn about staging components, how to select event venues, and manage and promote projects. This diploma teaches you how to manage a budget, prepare proposals, manage event registrations, obtain sponsors, and oversee on-site operations including staging and risk management. Our teachers have strong links with key stakeholders in the events industry, giving you the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field as part of your studies.

 

Advanced Diploma of Event Management (Duration 1-2 years)

Prepare for senior management positions where you’ll be responsible for conceiving, planning and staging events. Graduate with specialised management skills and substantial industry knowledge. Possible manager positions include conference, event or exhibition manager, event producer or director, functions manager, meetings manager, project manager, venue manager.

  1. Completed Australian Year 10 or overseas equivalent.
  2. Present English language evidence
      • IELTS, PTE, etc. (IELTS: 6.0 overall – no band less than 5.5; OR equivalent). The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application.
      • Some Education Institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test that you can take to meet the English entry requirements.
      • Exemptions apply if:
        – you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
        – you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
        – you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.

  • Event or Exibition Planner
