Sustainable Operations

Sustainable Operations Management focusses the on sustainability of supply chains. It aims for solutions that make supply chains more sustainable, while maintaining efficiency. Operations form the base of every organization, whether in manufacturing, service, or non-profit industries.

The Certificate IV in Sustainable Operations and the Diploma of Sustainable Operations provide students technical skills related to engineering, chemical, environmental and other technical analyses that may be needed for improving sustainability.

  • How to measure and report carbon footprint
  • How to conduct a sustainability water, energy and emissions audits
  • How to facilitate and implement holistic culture improvements in an organisation
  • Developing strategies for more sustainable use of resources and improving sustainability through readily implementable change
  • The competencies required to work in a technical, supervisory or operational role in sustainability within an organisation and/or its value chain

 

  1. Academic requirement: Completion of Australian Year 10 OR overseas equivalent.
  2. Present English language proficiency evidence
      • IELTS, PTE, etc. (IELTS: 6.0 overall – no band less than 5.5; OR equivalent). The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application
      • Some Education Institutions offer an in-house English Placement Test that you can take to meet the English entry requirements.
      • Exemptions apply if:
        – you are a citizen and hold a passport from UK, USA, Canada, NZ or Republic of Ireland
        – you are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course registered to be delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course
        – you have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
